Location
We operate from Channel Islands Sportfishing in Oxnard at 4151 Victoria Avenue. Please check in at their office the day of your trip with their staff. There is a large parking lot with tons of capacity and free parking on site.

Contact
Pacific Offshore Expeditions staff is involved in boat operations and scheduling. If you need to reach our staff the day of your trip, a contact phone number is in your reservation confirmation email. There is no phone number available for general inquiries or scheduling. You may email directly or via the below form at any time. Please do not call the phone number associated with Pacific Offshore Newport Beach. They cannot help you with anything involving Oxnard departures.

Timing your arrival
The boat is scheduled to leave the dock at the time indicated on your reservation. Please plan to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to that. And remember California freeways are prone to major traffic delays. The trip will not leave late and jeopardize everyone else's experience because you didn't wake up early enough.

Food and Drinks
Please plan basic hydration and nourishment for yourself. It is not provided by us. Best practice would be beverages with re-sealable caps and light snacks

Cancellation Factor
Our expeditions are prone to cancellation due to sub-optimal weather conditions. Sometimes with as little as 12 hours notice. We WILL NOT OPERATE if the mission success is compromised by strong winds or fog. It is not recommended that you travel from out of state or region for the sole purpose of doing a trip with us. Please only do so If you can tolerate the emotional and financial impact of being cancelled on.

Clothing
The ocean air amongst the Channel Islands feels cold year around. Best practice would be to "dress like you're going skiing". If you are on the open Zodiac boat, you must wear multiple layers, top and bottoms. An insulated jacket, warm hat, and sunglasses ensure comfort. If you have an inside seat on the SafeBoat, you can adopt a less intense approach toward layering.
